Canon RF 2x Extender Overview, Canon RF, Canon RF, Black, White, 2x, 340 g, 71.2 mm

Expand your versatility with Canon’s Extender RF 2x. An ideal complement to sports and wildlife photographers, this dust- and water-resistant extender features a smart-connect design that attaches effortlessly to select RF series lenses, increasing the focal length by a factor of 2x. Engineered with a combination of advanced optics, optimized coatings and high-quality construction ― including a heat shield exterior ― the Extender RF 2x keeps chromatic aberration, ghosting and overheating to a minimum, delivering exceptional results in situations where getting closer to your subjects matters.

The Canon teleconverter features high-refraction, low-dispersion glass to control curvature of field and chromatic aberration of magnification for the highest image quality
As well as optimised lens coatings, a 3-layer combined lens helps to reduce ghosting by reducing the surfaces in contact with the air as much as possible
The exterior is coated in the same white heat shield coating as used on the RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1L IS USM and RF 70-200mm F2.8L IS USM lens to prevent deterioration in performance in high temperatures
Built with a mechanism that prevents the lens elements from hitting those of the Canon 2x extender²
This Canon 2x extender is designed for reliability and durability with vibrational shock resistance, with dust and water resistance for use by professionals and enthusiasts
